On August 14, 2026, Anhui Yaohai Steel Structure Construction Group officially launched its dedicated certification program for the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) quality system. This marks a pivotal step in the company’s strategic development, as its entire production, quality control, welding, and inspection processes are now being aligned with the highest international standards — laying a solid qualification foundation for undertaking overseas steel structure projects in North America and other AISC-standard markets.

AISC certification is globally recognized as the authoritative “passport” of the steel structure industry, signifying that a company’s manufacturing and quality management fully meet the complete set of U.S. technical requirements, including ANSI/AISC 360, AWS D1.1, and ASTM material standards. The certification audit covers the entire production chain — raw material control, detailing design, welding procedures, component fabrication, non-destructive testing, finished product coating, documentation traceability, and personnel qualifications. Given its rigorous standards, AISC certification is an essential prerequisite for entering the steel structure markets of the United States, Canada, and the broader North American region.

To efficiently advance this certification effort, Yaohai Steel Structure has established a dedicated AISC Certification Task Force. The team is conducting a clause-by-clause review of existing management systems and production process documentation against AISC requirements, while upgrading and optimizing hardware facilities including production workshops, welding material warehouses, non-destructive testing areas, and finished goods storage yards. In parallel, the company is organizing specialized training for its technical, quality control, welding, and project management teams — covering American steel structure standards, AWS welding codes, and CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) requirements — to close technical gaps against international standards. The goal is to establish a quality management system compliant with U.S. standards, enabling controlled, parallel production under both domestic and overseas (AISC-standard) specifications.

Over the years, Yaohai Steel Structure has built deep expertise in the steel structure construction industry, operating a fully equipped manufacturing base and delivering a series of landmark projects both within and beyond its home province. The launch of AISC certification represents a key strategic move for the company as it strengthens its domestic foundation while expanding its global vision. Once certification is achieved, the company will be equipped to supply AISC-compliant steel structure projects for industrial plants, warehousing and logistics facilities, and commercial buildings across North America — effectively breaking through overseas technical barriers, expanding its international business footprint, and enhancing its brand influence and overall competitiveness in the global steel structure market.

Going forward, Yaohai Steel Structure will strictly follow its certification roadmap, implementing all required improvements to the highest standard in preparation for the on-site audit by the AISC certification expert panel. The company aims to obtain its AISC certification at the earliest opportunity, leveraging its strong manufacturing capabilities to seize opportunities in the overseas infrastructure market and establish itself as a benchmark for Anhui-based steel structure enterprises “going global.”
